Altcar Electric Vehicle Chargers powered by the sun

Four 22Kw 3 phase electrical vehicle chargers was installed to service 14 electric and hybrid vehicles.

The EV chargers are demonstrating how the military is leading the way on decarbonising the estate by powering their fleet of electric cars by consuming the solar pv energy during the hours of 8.30am - 5.00pm thus ensuring the vehicles are “powered by the Sun”.

All of the above is through a non capital expenditure power purchase agreement (PPA).
