PRESERVING MARITIME HISTORY

Task Contract Solutions Ltd was deeply honoured to support the Royal Navy in preserving and showcasing an extraordinary piece of maritime history. This historic figurehead, dating back to 1804 from HMS Eagle, represents the enduring legacy of the Royal Navy, and we were privileged to play a role in its revival and display.

PROJECT DETAILS

After 12 months of meticulous restoration, Task engineered and installed bespoke steel bracketry to securely suspend this magnificent artifact above the first-floor atrium, ensuring it became a stunning centrepiece for all to admire. Our mission was clear: to provide unwavering support to this historic treasure while ensuring the design was as discreet as possible, allowing the figurehead’s grandeur to take centre stage.

The installation demanded precision and care, requiring custom scaffolding to be erected within the atrium while ensuring the space remained fully operational. Our team’s commitment to excellence extended to incorporating LED lighting to illuminate the figurehead, highlighting its intricate details and historical significance.

This project was more than an engineering challenge; it was an opportunity to honour the Royal Navy’s proud heritage. Task Contract Solutions Ltd is privileged to have contributed to preserving this remarkable symbol of courage and tradition for future generations.
