ELECTRICTY UPGRADE

Task Contract Solutions Ltd partnered with National Grid, the Distribution Network Operator (DNO), to deliver a critical electricity infrastructure upgrade for Sunbelt Rentals, located at No. 1 Bridge Turn Avenue, Milton Keynes. The project involved upgrading the electricity supply from a 100Amp to a 200Amp three-phase connection, ensuring the site’s energy demands are met while bolstering long-term sustainability and resilience.

PROJECT SCOPE

1. Collaborative Infrastructure Development:

  • Road Excavation by National Grid: National Grid carried out road excavation to access and prepare the existing grid infrastructure, enabling a seamless connection to the upgraded power supply. This stage was managed with precision to minimise disruption to local traffic and the surrounding community.

  • Site Excavation by Task Contract Solutions Ltd: Task Contract Solutions handled all on-site excavation work, ensuring compliance with safety standards and preparing the site for the installation of new high-capacity cables and ducts.

2. Cable and Duct Installation:

  • Installation by National Grid: National Grid installed the upgraded cables and ducting required for the 200Amp three-phase supply. The infrastructure was designed to provide reliable energy delivery while being scalable for future renewable energy integration.

3. Restoration and Surface Works:

  • On-Site Backfill and Surfacing by Task Contract Solutions Ltd: Task Contract Solutions completed the backfilling of the site excavation and reinstated the surface with durable materials, ensuring the site was restored to its optimal operating condition.

  • Road Backfill and Surfacing by National Grid: National Grid managed the backfilling and resurfacing of the excavated road sections, restoring it to its original state to minimise disruption to the surrounding area.
